Johnny's Angel

I love Johnny Weir so much it hurts. In a platonic, "I want to go shopping with him" kind of way. Of course.

I heard about him on the Project Runway blog Project Rungay, and found out that he has a documentary and reality show, and what do you know! I don't have the Sundance Channel but it's On Demand, so I watched everything. And it was...

He's an amazing figure skater and an incredibly hard worker, but most of all I admire him because he's not afraid to be himself, and screw anyone who looks down on him! I want to be like that.

I think that he was tragically underscored in both of his programs in last week's Olympics, but especially in the free skate. He was amaaaazing and the scores didn't reflect the awesome at ALL. So unfair. Some people say that the judges purposely underscored him because they didn't want him skating in the exhibition today. They think he "sets a bad example." I think that not taking him seriously as an athlete because of his personality is setting a bad example.

Who You Gonna Call?

... Ghostbusters?! (Actually, that looks more like a... terrorist-mobile.)

Today my Fiction Writing professor told us that his 8th grade science teacher was a serial killer. Then we wrote a story about a decapitated monkey. What a morbid kind of day.

At least my lucky socks worked for my World History quiz. 100% man, 100%. I wasn't wearing them today, though, so the guy who sits in front of me caught me doodling bees in my notebook and I felt kind of dumb. Hey, bees have everything to do with Marxism. Hives, and all that. Same thing.

College... Oh, College

I find it ominous that "studying" has the word "dying" in it.

Yesterday I had a World History quiz, so I wore my lucky shoes and Christmas penguin socks, because penguins in Santa hats have got to be some sort of lucky. And it worked!

I wonder if the luck on the socks has worn off or if I can pull off wearing them again for my Art and Culture in India test today. Worth a try.

Right now there's a woodpecker trying to drill a hole in the side of my house. I don't think he's going to find anything besides insulation. I wish him all the best, though!

Bottle Collection

I am a giant nerd. So I collect Japanese drink bottles.

It's really fun for me, because Japanese soft drinks are way better than anything we have here in the U.S. It all started with my obsession with Calpis, which I would get every time I went to Uwajimaya, and then I branched out into other drinks. The tastes are really interesting, and so are a lot of the bottles. :D

Ramune, too! Actually, I think my obsession started with this. I thought that the bottles looked like aliens with their brains rattling around inside. So when I opened one, it was like I was exploding an alien brain! Awesome.

Here's my latest batch, minus one that's drying by the sink. I especially like the creamy-looking one kind of in the center, it's called "Bikkle." I think it's milk flavored. That giant one is grape and vegetable flavored, which I'm a little wary of, but sounds awfully good for me so I should probably drink it. I need to buy more giant ones of the small ones I already have, but every time I've gone up to Uwajimaya lately has been on the bus with just my backpack, and I would not like to break my back this early in life. :/

Well hi there!

I decided to ditch my AmeBlog and get one actually in English. My Japanese just isn't as good as it once was...

I'll miss the emoji, though. Maybe I'll copy and paste them all and use them anyway!

Anyway, this blog is mostly for myself, because I doubt anyone will read it ever. I'm just going to post pictures from my cellphone about what I did that day and/or funny things, mostly. I don't really want to pour out my heart and soul for the whole internet to read. That would be extremely awkward.

Also, I have a thing for pink. And pandas. Just so you know.
